I am not 27 and not a millennial. I clock a hell of a lot of hours on YouTube. Investing, exercise, health recipes running, and music you name it I watch what I want to learn when I want where I want. My business could not thrive without YouTube. I learn every day and it has enriched my life with new interests and skills.

TV is a waste of time.

Good on you to jump on this journey. It has been part of all releigions for thousands of years

I have been doing 18 hour fasts most days for the past 10 years. Your body and mind just adapts to it. Yes it is a bit hard initially. I go about my normal working day and exercise as well.

Recently I have been doing water only or veggie broth only fasts for 48 hours. In the past two years my bloodwork has improved tremendously. (Google Dr jason Fung and his therapeutic fasting) Anti Ageing? Try meditating with fasting! - does miracles. I reckon I look 10 years younger after starting to meditate. ( 3 years now) If Hollywood discovers this trick the botox industry might collapse. :-D

Early or no dinner keeps your waistline small. Personal Experience. "Eat breakfast like a King and dinner like a Pauper" works. Eat what you love most even if it s not healthy in a very small portion once in a while to feel the joy. ( i have that odd slice of chocolate cake once in a while).

Great article and learnt the ice water thing. Going to try it. Weight gain is mostly hormonal. ( mainly insulin) Control that and you will fit into your clothes comfortably or buy a larger size! :-)

Going off food for shorter periods does wonders to our health. Which is why all religions encourage fasting .It has been around for hundreds of years. Lack of food increases growth hormones and encourages healing.

Short 2-3 days fasts actually increase your energy levels. Buddhists monks do water only fast for 30 days. The mentioned study went on too long to get only the positive effects. Read up Dr Jason Fung on the Internet to understand fasting's effect on type two diabetes and reversal.
